Technical Data Description
Operating temp: - 20 ...+   60 degree C The roughness sensor has a built in infrared light source.  Scattered light reflected from a rough surface is analyzed and the roughness factor is calculated in the following way:

The detector senses the roughness of a master sample and the information is stored inside.  This measurement is then compared with the actual data retrieved from production samples.  If the roughness factor is below the factor calculated from the master sample, the output is 1, if the factor is rougher, or higher, the output is 0.
